Under CEO Tim Cook, Apple has made it a priority to become more environmentally friendly than it has ever been before. In 2015, 93% of of the company's energy came from renewable energy.

That includes the energy used to send your iMessages. Apple's made a cute little video -- with emojis no less -- explaining how every iMessage sent through its data centers is powered by 100% renewable energy.

That's tens of billions of iMessages processed every day because you guys can't stop sending pizza emojis to each other all day long.

In addition to powering its data centers with clean energy, Apple's also taken bolder initiatives to prevent old iPhones from landing in the landfill.

Last month, Apple unveiled to the public Liam, its 29-armed robot that disassembles iPhones and salvages parts to be reused. The robot can disassemble an iPhone every 11 seconds.

Furthermore, the company's building its new massive spaceship Campus 2 with solar panels on the roof to get closer to transitioning all of its operations to renewable energy.
