Plus, studies show that less pricey trackers can be surprisingly good at measuring steps and tracking what really matters. A 2020 study published by JMIR mHealth and uHealth tested a bunch of lower-budget fitness trackers and found they were actually pretty decent at tracking steps and estimating sleep, which is usually what most new fitness tracker owners care about the most.
