Snow is falling in Florida as a "historic snowstorm" brings dangerous conditions across 1,000 miles of Interstate 10 from central Texas to northern Florida, according to AccuWeather. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency Sunday ahead of what forecasters predict could be one of the Gulf Coast's worst storms in over a century.

In the wake of this rare snowfall, it's transformed the Sunshine State into an otherworldly winter wonderland, and social media is buzzing with stunning photos of icy beaches, snow-dusted palm trees, and surreal frozen landscapes.

Ever wanted to see a gator basking under the gentle touch of a snowflake or orange trees blanketed in snow? It’s surreal and stunning. Sure, it’s a stark reminder of the existential climate crisis fueled by government inaction and corporate greed, but hey, at least it makes for some pretty wild visuals.

Beyond the surreal pictures, the winter storm's unexpected snowfall has also sparked a flood of hilarious memes, proving that even in extreme weather, the internet’s sense of humor never freezes (my fault, twin).

Before you ask, yes, the Waffle House is still open.
