The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are about to get underway, and while reports of the city's possible unpreparedness for the games are rampant, the city's Olympic venues look shiny and new from space.
DigitalGlobe -- a commercial satellite imaging company -- has taken a series of before-and-after photos of various Olympic venus in Rio, revealing how areas around the city have transformed for the games.
