I hope you're proud of yourselves.

The Great Szechuan Sauce Revolt of 2017 took a new turn on Sunday evening when McDonald's, its powers-that-be no doubt terrified at the scenes of chaos at participating locations, relented. Rick and Morty fans will get their wish.

You're getting more damn Szechuan sauce.

This is the important bit:

"Szechuan Sauce is coming back once again this winter. And instead of being one-day-only and limited to select restaurants, we're bringing more — a lot more — so that any fan who's willing to do whatever it takes for Szechuan Sauce will only have to ask for it at a nearby McDonald's."

Yes. McDonald's screwed up. Not a lot of the "super-limited" sauce went out, and even some of those participating locations had nothing to give. But, and stay with me on this please because it's important: It's. Just. Dipping sauce.

Rioting fans got their way. I can't even blame McDonald's for the tepid response that fails to single out the legions of screaming fanfolk for ganging together and angrily demanding more of a promotional Chicken McNugget sauce. If they're basically rioting over such an inconsequential thing, would you really want to get them angrier when, instead, you could channel that tidal wave of energy into goodwill?

So anger won out over common sense and the villains of this story now get their wish. But at what cost? Look at what you've done.

Utter nonsense. I hope it tastes terrible in the end.
