Need to keep your face covered? These reusable cloth masks are on sale.

UPDATE: April 4, 2020, 5:16 p.m. EDT This product is no longer available as it has sold out. Check out our post on where to buy face masks in stock.

At the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, we were told that only medical professionals need to wear masks, but now that might be changing. The White House is expected to recommend the general population wear non-medical masks and face coverings when leaving the house.

Medical masks are still meant to be reserved for professionals on the frontline of treatment, but cloth masks provide some covering for people out doing grocery shopping or other essential errands. You can create makeshift masks out of cotton fabric or a bandana, or you can grab a cloth mask that's already made.

Tippit (which is owned by our publisher, Ziff Davis) is running a sale on reusable cloth face masks right now — save 20% with code SPRING20 — which can help you get some peace of mind. We're also told that shipping times should be operating as normal, so you should get these pretty quickly (comparatively speaking, of course.)

These masks are not FDA approved and do not take the place of surgical masks, but if you're at the point where something is better than nothing, then these could be a great option. They feature a double layer of fabric for some filtration and will keep your face covered while you run to the grocery store or pharmacy. Plus, they come in a bunch of different fabrics and they're actually kind of cute.
