Save 40%: As of Sept. 6, Adobe Photoshop Elements is on sale for $59.99. That's a savings of $40 off its usual $99.99, and unlike regular Photoshop, you don't have to pay monthly.

Being creative is expensive.

High-end software like Photoshop is known for its steep price point of more than $200 for the year. Adobe tried to soften the financial blow by offering a diet version called Photoshop Elements. Still, $99.99 can be a big ask, especially for students.

But a current Amazon-exclusive deal lets beginner photo editors experiment with Elements for $59.99 — a 40% discount (or an almost 75% discount if you compare it to Photoshop's yearly cost). And unlike regular Photoshop, Elements doesn't require a yearly subscription. Pay for it once and it's yours.

Photoshop Elements is the perfect jumping-off point for creatives learning the ropes of basic edits. It still harnesses the power of AI-fueled Adobe Sensei, which can make a gray cloudy sky colorful in one click or open closed eyes without adjusting pixel-by-pixel. One-click subject selection allows you to isolate the subject of the photo and tinker with the background rather than free-handing with the dreaded Lasso Tool.

More advanced tools like layering or 3D rendering are reserved for the full-fledged version of Photoshop.

Since 2019, her expertise has been perpetually bolstered by the meticulous eye she keeps on robot vacuum deals and new releases, but more importantly, her hands-on experience with more than 25 robot vacuums tested in her own home. (This number has probably gone up by the time you're reading this.) That at-home testing is standardized through Mashable's robot testing guide — a granular scoring rubric for assessing all aspects of owning and using a robot vacuum on the daily — that Leah created herself.
