The first trailer for director David Cronenberg's (The Fly, Crash, A History of Violence) Crimes of the Future is here, and you're gonna want to sit down for this one. The one-minute teaser is full of Cronenbergian body horror, from a man with extra ears getting his mouth sewn shut to a tube penetrating human flesh with a sickening squelch. Gross. I love it. Ooh, and the French trailer is even weirder!

Crimes of the Future follows artist Saul (Viggo Mortensen) and his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), whose performances involve showing off the metamorphosis of Saul's organs (oof ouch). They're tracked by Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry who gets caught up in a group obsessed with the next stage of human evolution. Based on all the weird fleshy goings-on in the trailer, we can only assume that things evolve to get even stranger.

Crimes of the Future hits theaters in June.
