Netflix's adaptation of Alice Oseman's beloved graphic novel Heartstopper, one of the TV shows we can't wait to see this autumn, returns for a third season, reuniting you with Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) and the gang. But in Season 3, things feel a lot more serious, exploring some of the bigger, darker experiences teens can go through — and a warning, this trailer does touch upon eating disorders and gender dysphoria, in case you're not in the right place for that right now.

As the trailer indicates, Heartstopper is growing up this season, as the characters look to the future, the big decisions after school and the inner tumult that comes with it.

However, Jonathan Bailey makes a cameo as a dreamy author, so it's not all bad.

How to watch: Heartstopper Season 3 premieres Oct. 3 on Netflix.

If you feel like you’d like to talk to someone about your eating behavior, text "NEDA" to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741 to be connected with a trained volunteer or visit the National Eating Disorder Association website for more information.
