Hulu's 'Normal People' trailer is an emotional attack
Watch Next

Hulu's Normal People trailer could double as a PSA for the status "It's complicated." But the upcoming miniseries — based on the novel by Sally Rooney — is all about blurring lines and challenging labels. Complicated, as it turns out, is normal.

Normal People is the story of Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal), who begin a clandestine sexual relationship in their school days and revisit the many ways in which they connect for years to come. Sometimes it's friendship, sometimes it's sex, sometimes it involves emotion — and other times it's everywhere in between.

Normal People hits Hulu in its entirety on April 29 (the full series will debut in the UK on BBC April 26.)
