Jordan Peele is back to surprise, delight, and terrify us once more.

Heralded in a tweet instructing interested audiences to "say yeah," our first look at Peele's Nope has arrived in a two-minute trailer that's led by mystery, creepy imagery, and fields of wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men. What is Peele cooking up this time?

Nope stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun as "residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery," according to the brief description released alongside the trailer. The two-minute assemblage of clips hints at some kind of skyborne threat, with imagery reminiscent of UFO encounters.

Nothing is ever that simple or straightforward with Peele, who also mixed surprising, mystery-led horror with sharp social commentary on race and class in his 2017 debut, Get Out, and 2019's unconnected follow-up, Us. In this first look, Nope unsurprisingly feels like it's operating in the same kind of realm, particularly with Get Out star Kaluuya so front and center.

Thankfully, those who are excited to dig deeper into this mystery won't have to wait too long. Nope arrives in theaters on July 22.
