Dame Jilly Cooper's Rivals has been adapted into an eight-episode TV series with Disney+ and Hulu releasing an outrageously fun first look today.

Part of the author's famous Rutshire Chronicles, the story throws you into the audacious TV industry in the '80s, where aristocratic neighbours — Tory politician Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) and TV exec Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) — are at each other's throats.

The trailer lends adequate raunch to Cooper's world of rambunctious characters, including Catriona Chandler as Caitlin O’Hara, Oliver Chris as James Vereker, Danny Dyer as Freddie Jones, Rufus Jones as Paul Stratton, Lisa McGrillis as Valerie Jones, Luke Pasqualino as Bas Baddingham, Claire Rushbrook as Lady Monica Baddingham, and Victoria Smurfit as Maud O’Hara.

Rivals is streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in the UK later this year.
