The sequel to Spanish anti-capitalist sci-fi horror The Platform is coming to Netflix this autumn, and we've got a pretty grim-looking teaser trailer.

Set within a vertical prison where food is lowered to the various levels from the top down, The Platform is one of the best (and sadly, most relevant) sci-fi movies out there. Director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia returns for the second instalment, which sees a mysterious new leader running the Platform, and the same social dynamics that threaten to leave some fed and others starving.

Milena Smit, Hovik Keuchkerian, Óscar Jaenada, and Natalia Tena lead the sequel, which looks to channel much of the level-based horror of the first film.

How to watch: The Platform 2 is streaming on Netflix Oct. 4. Meanwhile, you'll also find the The Platform on there.
