The surface finishing system developed by GrayMatter Robotics is powered by their “GMR-AI.” A physics informed artificial intelligence which enables autonomous surface finishing and treatment. Scan&Sand is designed to take on tasks more hazardous to humans and is GrayMatter Robotics’ response to the growing labor shortages within the manufacturing industry which could see up to 2.1 million manufacturing jobs go unfilled by 2030 according to the National Association of Manufacturers.
